With all the people in New Mexico who’ve been laid off the past year, it was definitely tough for me to get a job in Santa Fe after I graduated from the University of New Mexico in the summer. I ended up not getting a job until the end of August, and I had to find a way to still keep all my bills and expenses paid. There wasn’t a bank or loan agent in Santa Fe that would help me though. Neither would any in Agua Fria, Tesuque, or Chupadero. So I did what anyone else in my generation would do: I went on the Internet. I came across a car title loans company that would get me approved for a title loan, get cash delivered to my place in Santa Fe the next day, and would let me keep my car while I had the loan. The money really helped me keep afloat while I constantly searched for work. Since I finally have been working now since August, I was able to pay back the auto title loan this afternoon.
